Throughout the development of the RE:BEACH Pilot Project, public comment and feedback has been provided through online feedback forms. These responses are used by the RE:BEACH Project Team to refine pilot project concepts, inform the site selection, and provide input into the design of the Pilot Project. The Community Input Summaries are documents produced at the terminus of each respective engagement period.

Design Competition Community Input

Throughout the RE:BEACH Design Competition, public comment and feedback has been provided directly to the Project Team members, Design Competitors, and through online feedback forms. These responses refined the pilot project concepts throughout the competition.

Siting Analysis Community Input

This Community Input Summary is an overview of the feedback provided by the public throughout the RE:BEACH Oceanside Pilot Project Siting Analysis phase of the project. The Siting Analysis is being conducted to support the Oceanside City Council in making a decision on the location of the RE:BEACH Pilot Project. The engagement process for the Siting Analysis took place between July and November 2024.

Artificial Headlands Amenities & Integration Community Input Summary

This Community Input Summary provides an overview of public feedback collected during the Artificial Headlands Design phase of the RE:BEACH Oceanside Pilot Project. Engagement focused on the proposed headlands at Tyson Street and Wisconsin Avenue and was conducted through online surveys, a virtual public webinar, and stakeholder discussions during the summer and fall engagement period. Feedback is being used to inform conceptual design, integration with existing infrastructure, and public access to restored sandy beaches. Additional design details and updates will be shared as the project progresses.
